Multi-Objective Finite-Time Control for the Interlinking Converter on Hybrid AC/DC Microgrids

Hybrid AC/DC microgrids are of special interest for energization due to their flexibility, low infrastructure investments, reduced conversion losses, and reliability against failures on the utility grid. In these systems, global economic dispatch needs communication between AC DC subgrids achieve a near-optimal solution since incremental costs all generators need be equalized. Hence, this paper proposes distributed coordination by means finite-time controller microgrid’s interlinking converter, which ensures an operation while taking care microgrid power utilization. The latter implies that multi-objective control is performed uses shared variables average powers from in sides. Also, adaptive weighting method proposed adjust effort regarding utilization side microgrid. controller’s performance verified through simulations experimental setups. Results show strategy able perform trade-off two objectives achieving convergence even though delays exist.
